HEHEHE.
that I end up thinking about during the night hours.
For the past hour, I’ve just been sitting in my room with my nightlight on just reflecting on myself and how I’m living my life. Sure, in the eyes of the world I suppose you can say that I’m a good person. I don’t cause trouble. I don’t go out and stir up arguments. I don’t party. I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs. Nada. But just because I don’t do any of those things doesn’t exactly mean that I’m good. I don’t strive to be good but I strive to be holy like Jesus Christ. I’m not gonna lie, it’s not an easy task. But who said living a life of a Christian would be easy? Everyday is definitely a struggle. There are so many obstacles that are thrown at me each day. Staying away from laziness, always remember to show graciousness in speech, and patience is something that I really need to keep in mind on a daily basis.
I’m not perfect at all. None of us are. Mhm. That’s the truth. Whether you know it or not, we sin everyday. It could be a bad word slipping out of your mouth to looking at the opposite sex with lust in your heart to even longing for a material possession that your friend has. As human beings, we have that sinful nature. We missed the mark which doesn’t even come close to the righteousness of God. Which is why God had to send someone that was perfect, someone that was holy, someone that could ultimately display the biggest example of what true love is. That person would have to pay the price for our sins. That person, was Jesus Christ. He paid the ultimate price by shedding His own blood on the cross. Dude, and the best part is….that he rose again! Through His Resurrection, we are redeemed. We are forgiven. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. <3
I am forever grateful and thankful for Christ and His mind-blowing sacrifice for us. Something we clearly do not deserve. Not one bit. Mhm. But He did so anyways, because of His unconditional love for us. Now that, that is truly…mind. blowing. …AAAH. What a wonderful and awesome Savior we have! (:
As I was writing this… a song came to my mind.
Oh, to see my name
Written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death;
Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.
This, the pow’r of the cross:
Son of God—slain for us.
What a love! What a cost!
We stand forgiven at the cross.
I encourage you to take a few minutes and listen! (: It’s an awesome song I promise!
